Get Ready For Nys With Live Streams, A New Novena And National Youth Funday!

The theme for this year's National Youth Sunday is 'Together', because that's what we all long to be right now. In addition to loads of new resources, in the spirit of coming together, the youth ministry workers on CYMFed's National Youth Sunday team have created a series of live streams in the lead up to NYS, a novena to Christ the King, and an exciting National Youth Funday programme that schools and groups can join on Friday 20 November.

Friday livestreams

Tune in to @NationalYouthSunday on Instagram on Fridays at 4pm. They'll be featuring a special guest each week.

Novena

National Youth Sunday is always celebrated on the Solemnity of Christ the King. Come together in a 9-day Novena to prepare for this special feast day.

Beginning on Friday 13th November, young people from Mission Teams and Residential Retreat Centres across the country will lead the Novena. You can join them live on Instagram or use the text to pray the Novena at a time that suits you.

National Youth Funday

Visit the NYS website and register your class or group for this event, which takes place on YouTube on Friday 20 November between 9:45am and 2:30pm. You can tune in to parts of the programme that suit your schedule. There are sessions aimed at primary and secondary, music from Joe Wells of One Hope Project, competitions and quizzes, input on the global situation from CAFOD, surprise special guests, and of course, prayer (with Cardinal Nichols). The focus will shift between the North, South and Midlands through the day, dropping in on the activities of schools and parishes, and getting more inspiration from everyone on the 'Together' theme.
