Could You Go Silent For A Change?

Are you still looking for a Lenten commitment that will make a difference to young people’s lives? Right up to Easter Sunday, you can join the hundreds of people who’ve signed up for Million Minutes’ siLENT challenge, and raise funds to support young people .Danny Curtin from Million Minutes tells us more:
Britain’s best selling cookery writer Delia Smith, author and screen writer Frank Cottrell Boyce, and peace campaigner Margaret Mizen are all taking part. We also have teachers, priests, whole schools, youth clubs, and Religious Orders. One Religious Order has pledged a million seconds to help us create a deafening silence to speak up for young people!
If you have not signed up yet, it’s not too late to get involved with siLENT. You can take part at any time before Easter Sunday, either by yourself or with others. See some of our participants here: www.millionminutes.org/silent40
Your silence will create a real difference, raising money to support young people to change their communities. For example, last summer we supported young people in Essex to run a summer school programme – providing activities for children who don’t get the chance to stay safe during the holidays.
