Are you passionate about your Christian faith, with a desire to work with youth, in the Franciscan charism of joy? We are seeking to appoint a passionate Youth Ministry Lead, who will accompany young people as they deepen their relationship with God, help them to grow in self-awareness and help them to develop a deeper appreciation and care for creation.

If you are a creative and motivated individual, who is committed to guiding young people to live a Gospel-cantered life, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours, five out of seven days per week. This role offers accommodation for the right individual in the beautiful area of Godalming, at a reduced rate.

About the Role:

At the heart of the Centre's mission are the values of dignity of the human person, inclusiveness, peace-making, reconciliation and healing, respect and care for creation, and simplicity. You will have a proven record of working with youth in a faith context, knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, and excellent communication and presentational skills, and an ability to lead prayer and worship.

The Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM) are seeking a Youth Ministry Lead to design and deliver age-appropriate programs and retreats for children up to 18 years old at the Franciscan Centre Ladywell. As part of a wider team, you will work with schools, parishes, and other partners to attract youth groups to the centre and lead successful youth programs.

About You:

As the Youth Ministry Lead, you will be committed to working according to the vision and values of the FMDM and have an understanding of working in the context of a religious congregation. You will be highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement, with respect and value for a diversity of opinions and contributions. A sense of humour, a willingness to travel internationally, and flexibility in working arrangements/hours to meet operational requirements, including responding to emergencies, are also important.

Given the nature of this role the post-holder will be required to be fully flexible, and the role may be reviewed and updated with the post-holder in line with service requirements and changing circumstances relevant to the post. The post is subject to two satisfactory references and enhanced DBS.
