Off to the Pictures...

During the weekend I saw
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen
. It was good, but maybe not mega-useful for youth ministry.
Tonight I am probably going to see the
Avengers
movie. I'll post some reviews soon enough. I'm also planning to post a review of
Gone, Baby, Gone
, which I saw on Netflix last week and has probably made it in to my top 20.
And, if anyone can recommend some more movies to see and review, I'll be more than happy to oblige

I can't think of any to recommend at present but I just wanted to say...how awesome was the Avengers?! I went on Monday night and really enjoyed it.
And, if I stop and think about it, I think it has some real use in a youth ministry setting too.

I suddenly started feeling rather sick last night and so didn't get to the cinema in the end. Tonight is Young Adults prayer group night, so I'll probably go tomorrow now. Definitely Avengers!!

The Avengers is awesome!
I quite liked Salmon Fishing, but i really didn't like that the main lead starts off married. Its hard to want them to get together when you know there is a wife somewhere.
We just got The Way in Australia. I loved it. I think it really captured the way that pilgrimage can change you. I was going to see it again this weekend with my husband, but we had too much other stuff planned, so maybe next weekend.

Yeah, The Way is amazing. very useable in youth ministry too. I used it for my Ash Wednesday services this year (beginning a journey).

LOVED the avengers!!! Also loved "Safe" on a purely entertainment/thriller kinda way. Jason Statham doing what he does best lol.
There are some clips from "Mirror Mirror" on
www.wingclips.com
that can be used in ministry
Def worth checking that out.
