Snazzy video on the new translation from Life Teen - that can help your 'teens'!

Wow. That has got to be the most concise, understandable and interesting thing on the new missal that I've seen!

I am still so excited about the new translation and the opportunity it brings for catechesis and I hope that there will be more resources like this coming out over the next couple of months!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Phil 4:13

Yep, there's one for high school teens (15-18 yr olds) and one for middle schoolers (11-14 yr olds) which are awesome! Life Teen also have produced an amazing resource called Word for Word which includes the DVD of these 3 videos but is mainly a 4 session youth group plan (effectively 12 sessions as they've broken it down similarly: teens; middle schoolers; parents/adults). Here's where you'd find it... http://www.catholicyouthministry.com/roman-missal/  :)
God bless,
Lara

Thanks Lara, I'm gonna check it out now!

Good job! If you've had anything to do with making these. I really liked this one.

No I didn't have anything to do with making them, but used to serve as a missionary with Life Teen alongside the people who made them. Fun little fact about the one aimed at high school age teens... They didn't have to speed up the recording of Mark Hart explaining who was involved in the new translation, that's recorded in real time, fun!

I've passed this thread onto the Headteacher and Head of RE at our place. Lifeteen produce some good stuff, they obviously have mega bucks behind them.

Although Life Teen are a non-profit organisation, they actually manage to fund the vast majority of their operating costs through events revenue and resource sales. So they don't have to rely too heavily on fundraising, which is a huge blessing. Considering how far-reaching the movement is, it shocked me when I went to live over there how few people they actually employ. It's a relatively small family of massively hard-working and hard-praying people. They're all awesome and it's a blessing to know them  ;D
