Weekly Themes for Assemblies
« on: June 19, 2012, 12:06:29 PM »
Hello lovely Chaplains :)

My HT has asked that I look at allocating themes to each week of our term, so that those creating assemblies have themes to work from.

Has anyone got something like this already that I could look at, as I need a few ideas!

Many thanks,
Clare :)

Me too please!

I'll post it in the private Chaplains' board.

N.B. Anyone who isn't a member of that board and wants in, let me know :)

I've got one for this year and planned the weekly themes for next year too.  I'll see if I can add them to Jack's thread.

This year's one has got 4 days of prayer ideas for the weekly theme too.  Hopefully they'll be of some use!

I'm not a member of the private board but am definitely interested. Could be useful when planning and leading retreats next year!  :)

Hello

I am a new Chaplain just started mid April - so still finding my feet.  Could you please send me the ideas for themed assemblies too.  I am new to the job and the role is new with my school too - so any advice would be most appreciated.

I am also organising Year 7 Form Retreats next week which I am working on at the moment.  I am beginning with a general welcome intro - then doing some icebreakers to get everyone relaxed - moving on to the mission and vision of the school with some fun activites - then after lunch I was going to bring in prayer and faith finishing with a reflection. The whole theme of the day is on friendship and new beginnings.

Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Kind regards

Christine

Hi,

I know this topic is quiet old now just thought I'd ask if I could possibly be added to the Chaplains board.

I started in my school at the beginning of December and am new to the role (the position is also new to the school). Everything is still in a very "new" being developed sort of stage and therefore I am in sponge mode and trying to gather as many resources etc as possible!

Thank you!

Theresa

Can I see the Chaplain's Board?
We have seen how He makes people aware through His Word of the fact that he is calling them, offering a joy and fulfilment that comes from the discovery that they are loved by Him.
