Job Description

St. Martin de Porres Roman Catholic Church, on Florida’s Treasure Coast in Jensen Beach, is a faith-filled Parish Community of approximately 1300 registered families dedicated to expressly living our discipleship in union with the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary while in fidelity to Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the Sacred Magisterium. We are presently seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministry who is first and foremost an orthodox Catholic who is passionate about our faith and Holy Mother Church and who can generously demonstrate Agape love in a spirit of authentic altruism or is willing to learn and grow in this Gospel charism. The candidate we are seeking must be a self-starter with a minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry or related field with a minimum of 2 years experience in Youth Ministry (can include internships). The applicant must be willing and able to collaborate with Pastoral Team and to effectively engage parents and Adult Core Group members, as well as be assertive in all fund-raising efforts. Our Edge, Life Teen and Confirmation Prep Programs are well established and hence require a desire on part of the candidate to strengthen each of these very fruitful components of Catechesis and Faith Formation within Youth Ministry while subordinating oneself in docility, humility and obedience to Our Father’s Will for the on-going, creative growth and edification of our youth. In addition, our brother or sister who is selected will also be highly organized and enthusiastic, have a mature personal and spiritual life, and possess excellent leadership qualities and skills. A long-term commitment is desirable since this is a “vocational” position and not simply an “occupational” one.
