Movies: The Hunger Games - Again!

A few days ago, I reviewed the Hunger Games.

And then, rather predictably, I was trawling various news feeds and I came across a far, far better piece than mine.

BustedHalo.com has an interesting piece about the levels of violence in the movie and how appropriate it is. It makes interesting reading...

I know a few people were taken aback by the violence in the movie. Actually, there's very little of it. It's one of those movies where you think you see a lot more than you do. Rather, I think what gets people is the psychological thing of kids killing other kids.

As a youth worker, I found this a little disturbing. As I said in the last piece though (or in the comments, rather) I think it's worth exposing ourselves to what society might become if we let our guard down.
