Whenever youth workers tackle moral issues with young people (sex, drugs, crime etc etc) it's always worth remembering that for a lot of young people the things you're talking about won't be theoretical things that they might encounter one day, but things which they have already done.

Having done these things then naturally brings a lot of emotions which young people can find very difficult: regret, guilt, anger, fear...

That's why, alongside teaching about rights and wrongs, there should always be a message that we have a loving God who always offers a way back.
