What is three one?
three one is a programme for parish youth groups. It is set out in 40 sessions, each of which has a website page with videos and other resources.
Who is three one for?
It is aimed at Senior youth groups but can probably be adapted for use by numerous other groups, such as younger groups, school classes, confirmation groups etc.
Where can I download three one?
Click the link to the left of this page saying [download] and it'll take you to the page.
Do I need to be a member of CatholicYouthWork.com to download or to use three one?
No, not at all. But if you want to submit ideas on the discussion boards, then you will need to join. Joining CatholicYouthWork.com is totally free and will give you access to all of our boards and services. You will also get out newsletter each week by E-mail, telling you about events that are coming up and about current job vacancies.
Why is it called three one?
Well, it's nothing to do with the trinity, as some people assume, but rather it is about a verse in the bible - 1 John 3:1 - "think of the love the father has lavished on us by letting us be called the Children of God, for that is what we are." We feel that this passage says a lot about youth ministry and about what we want to achieve with this resource.
Who wrote three one?
three one was largely written by Jack Regan, but many part of it were based on ideas members of CatholicYouthWork.com had suggested over many years. Many, many other people also contributed, making this a real team effort.
How come it's free? Will it always be free?
It is free because we believe that resources for Catholic Youth Ministry should always be free if possible. We do not currently anticipate having to charge for it.
Can I suggest an idea for future editions?
You are most welcome to do so. Just go to the discussion board for three one and post a message in the relevant thread. You will need to be a member of CatholicYouthWork.com to do this. Alternatively, you can send us a message.
Can I take bits from three one and use it for another programme or publication?
If you aren't intending to make a profit on whatever you're doing, then yes, no problem. If you are planning on making a bit of cash, then please get in touch with us and we'll try to come to an arrangement!
