1. How is the prep going?  AMAZINGLY WELL!!! We know the anthem, we have some chants for the train, we are all paid up, the kids know that we need to leave school at 6.15am and that we will be late coming back and they know that they need 3 meals for the day! They know what the theme is, they know who the speakers are going to be and we are looking forward to the follow-up. The theme appears to be perfect to use for the Year of Faith next year!  ;)

2. How many are you bringing?  We are bringing 30 from Hartlepool but part of a group of 400 from the diocese - ALL ABOARD the FLAME TRAIN!

3. What's your group colour? (assuming you have one) We have black t-shirts and hoodies with a big flame in the middle with "Team H&N" written on the front.

4. How tired are you at present? Well, being a school chaplain bang in the middle of Lent, let's just say roll on the holidays!

..and..

5. How awesome is it going to be...?   It is going to be worth all the tiredness in the world and hope that this will not just be a one-off!

1. How is the prep going?
Well, the paperwork side and travel rrangementa are coming together and should be sorted by Thursday fingers crossed. I'm referring young people to the website to have a look at the programme and they're really looking forward to it! We also have a few things to do on the coach.

2. How many are you bringing?
Well, our parish is relatively small. We are coming as part of a deanery group so we have three leaders and three young people from our Parish out of our group of 40! I know there are loads more people attending from our diocese - we are all sitting together in the Arena!

3. What's your group colour?
We haven't got one, but I am assuming some of them will buy the Flame lanyards on the day...

4. How tired are you at present?
Pretty exhausted to be honest. Been pretty constant for the last month with essays, college, placement and organising. But by Wednesday my essay will be finished and I can't wait for the weekend, it will definitely be worth it!

5. How awesome is it going to be?
Absolutely amazing! Having been to other, smaller Youth events, I have no doubt about that!

I was in a meeting a short while ago that said that Wembley weren't keen on people coming down in group colours!  On a more practical note, what are you telling your groups to bring?

Food, food, food and more food! Not to bring banners of a certain size or with poles. Wear their t-shirts and hoodies. Bring some spending money. Bring their medication if they have any. Bring their mobile phones but nothing else of any value. That is about it really.

That's not the case at all. There are a lot - believe me, a LOT - of things Wembley aren't keen on, but that's not one of them ;)

Well we did say pithy it and say that people can wear what they want but (for once) we are not doing a set outfit!

6)  How dissapointed are you?

VERY! The regulations on cameras and videos is rubbish! It has completely scuppered our project and the impact that we wanted to have on our school and deanery. Why can it not be like WYD where you can freely wander around an arena with a camera and video to capture the best bits. It means we can't even video the journey or anything as the camera will then be confiscated from us at Wembley. Not a happy bunny about this but it will still be an amazing day. Just stupid Wembley regulations!!!! They need to get to know Jesus!

What! We are not allowed to bring cameras? We were hoping to make a video diary of the day and use it as a resource for showcasing what good youth ministry is. They surely aren't going to take mobiles off people, so...

You are allowed 'domestic' cameras and of course mobile phones but no professional photography equipment unless you have a press pass for the day.

Anne-Marie - get Dermot or Tony to ring Johnny T from Southwark and get a press pass organised for one of the team - they can email the documents.

Just to clafiry...

You are allowed to bring cameras, just not big professional cameras - unless you have a press pass. Mobile phones are fine. Regular domestic cameras are fine. Big SLR type cameras are not fine :)

Yeah, the camera issue is fine, it was more the video camera that is more of a problem. We wanted to video blog the day live on the train and during the day but we can't do that as we don't want to leave the cameras on the train for obvious reasons and don't want them to be confiscated for the day as we are in a bit of a rush to get out.

It will be fine, we might just have to do it all on our phones!

It is still going to be amazing and I am still totally excited!
