Youth 2000 at Walsingham

Hi everyone
I've never been to Walsingham and am really keen to go. In the Flame programme yesterday, I noticed an advertisement for the Youth 2000 event at Walsingham in August. I was just wondering whether anyone has ever been? If so, what's it like, would you recommend it?
Thanks
Katharine

You should definitely go. I think Youth2000 is probably up there with the best youth events to help young people in their faith. I first went to Youth 2000 when I was 14, I got hooked and couldn't get enough of Jesus. All the GCSEs and A LEVELS in the world could not teach me what I elarned and experienced at Youth 2000 all those years ago. After that, I got involved in their music ministry and became a regional leader and helped prepare their big Walsingham event.
I am now 33 and am taking a group there myself this year. It is 100% pure Catholicism, fun, life giving and roughing it for 4 nights...what more would you want.
If in doubt, go along yourself and then you can make your own opinion. I am a big believer in not judging something until you have tried it yourself...a bit like food really or a good book! get yourself there, I promise you won't regret it!
